06 Oct 15 - ARBS 2016, Australia’s only international air conditioning, refrigeration and building services trade exhibition, will be the largest ARBS event yet with an unprecedented demand for exhibition space, most of which was fully booked within weeks of opening. A limited amount of new exhibition floor space has just been obtained for the show which will be held from 17-19 May 2016 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC) with a range of spaces and stands available, facilitating all types of displays from posters to large custom stands. Interest from hundreds of previous ARBS exhibitors has once again demonstrated the show’s continuing popularity. The demand to exhibit at ARBS is at an all-time high, never before have bookings sold this quickly. Alongside the exhibition, a seminar program will once again provide leading-edge education and networking for HVAC&R and building services professionals. Exhibitors will also be able to present sales, technical and support information via information sessions on the show floor. 06 Oct 15 - Nominations will open on 1st September for the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services (ARBS) Industry Awards for 2016. The awards recognise excellence in Australia’s HVAC, refrigeration and building services industries across a range of areas including: ARBS Young Achiever Award 2016 ARBS Product Excellence Award 2016 ARBS Project Excellence Award 2016 ARBS Industry Education/Training Award 2016 ARBS Hall of Fame The awards, now firmly entrenched as the pinnacle of achievement in the industry, attract nominees from across the industry, and are endorsed and supported by the major industry associations of the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH), the Air Conditioning & Mechanical Contractors Association (AMCA), the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers Association (AREMA), the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE ANZ), the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Contractors Association (RACCA) and the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Wholesalers Association (ARWA). “Each instalment of the ARBS awards has continued to grow and attract more participants as the industry acknowledges the respect associated with receiving an award,” said Sue Falcke, ARBS Events Organiser. “We are gearing up for another enthusiastic response to this year’s call for nominations. 06 Oct 15 - Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and building services industry professionals (HVAC & R) are invited to submit abstracts for seminars, panels, and workshops at ARBS 2016. The seminar program is an opportunity to share expertise, innovation and best practice across all sectors of the industry. These seminars will run during Australia’s biggest international Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services (ARBS) exhibition to be held in Melbourne from 17-19 May 2016. The seminar program is a key component of the exhibition, providing leading-edge education and networking for HVAC&R and building services professionals. The call for papers invites submissions in areas such as (but not limited to): Case studies and real-world applications Future technologies Innovation War stories – what went wrong and lessons learnt Hot industry issues Energy efficiency / green design Emerging trends in building design, and the impact for HVAC&R Sustainable applications Regulatory and compliance issues Standards and rating tools Project and facility management Legal and risk management Renewable technologies / geothermal and alternative power The format can be a seminar, panel session or workshop, between 30 and 90 minutes in duration.
