Patrick Brennan, a refrigeration and air conditioning apprentice who won gold at the WorldSkills competition held at ARBS 2018, has been awarded bronze at the 45th WorldSkills International Championships in Kazan, Russia. The gold medal was co-awarded to Russian champion Akeksandr Leushin and Korea’s JuHwan, with 28 participants in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning category.

Brennan was part of a 14 strong team of other young Australian apprentices and tradespeople dubbed the Skillaroos that travelled to Russia to compete. Crowds of more than 250,000 watched on as they competed for gold, silver and bronze medals and the title of world champion in their chosen skill.
