Ahmad Amiri – High Technology Control
Ahmad Amiri is the General Manager of High Technology Control a partner of ABB serving the HVAC industry proudly over the last 2 decades. As a family man and proud father of two young girls he has balanced the commitments of his family together with running a $10 mill business and managing over 30 happy staff. Ahmad exemplifies someone who has started from the bottom and worked his way up through hard work, determination and integrity. At the age of 34 he is the General Manager across two company’s employing 35 people. Both companies have strived under his stewardship both culturally and financially.
Vladimir Poposki – Belco Electrical
Vladimir is a highly experienced, energetic and dependable Project Manager, Engineer and a company Director who has demonstrated the ability to lead diverse teams of professionals to new levels of success in a variety of highly competitive industries, cutting-edge markets, and fast-paced environments.
Vladimir is a Senior Electrical Infrastructure Engineer at the University of Melbourne and a Managing Director of Belco Electrical. Belco Electrical is an Electrical engineering firm providing reliable, independent advice that represents the interest of the owner and the end user with the end result being a compliant, safe and workable system.
Leon Wurfel – BUENO
Leon co-founded Australia’s first property operations big data business BUENO (Built Environment Optimisation Pty Ltd), and serves as Managing Director of the company. In creating BUENO, Leon’s goal is to disrupt the standard service and maintenance models for Building Automation Systems and Mechanical Systems through implementing a data and analytics driven prioritisation of maintenance activities, as well as semi-automated diagnostics of service call issues.
Since inception in 2013, BUENO has grown to a staff of 20 and their products and services now cover more than 3 million square metres of buildings under various forms of the BUENO managed services.
BUENO has established themselves with a strong client base including: DEXUS, Vicinity Centres, Woolworths, Crown Resorts, GPT, Stockland, Cromwell and the University of Canberra.
Leon is a regular at industry events and is consistently invited for guest presenting and panel roles across Australia and internationally, where he shares his knowledge and insights on big data’s influence on property operations.
Leon is an award recipient, having been recognised by Climate Control News as a Rising Leader in the HVAC&R industry and was a finalist for the Future Leader Award at the 2015 AIRAH Awards. He is a key influencer in the continued development of the Project Haystack group.
