The Government’s Delivering Skills for Today and Tomorrow $525 million funding package has been announced with plans to ensure Australians develop the skills they need to succeed in a changing workplace.

The package will create up to 80,000 additional apprentices over the coming five years in identified priority skill shortage areas, including the HVAC+R sector. In addition, it will address youth unemployment by providing 400 scholarships in regions throughout Australia and streamline incentives for employers of apprentices and trainees whilst modernising the skills needs list.
