The products consist of BACnet based fully programmable direct digital controllers, networking devices and powerful web based user interface. These products are currently being installed in various buildings throughout Australia.

Daikin Australia undertook a significant Development at Chipping Norton, Sydney involving the acquisition and amalgamation of several properties, redevelopment of existing Factory Buildings and the construction of a new Head Office. The new Building adopts innovative environmental design that achieves a 5 Star NABERS Rating, low maintenance landscaping, passive design initiatives and an innovative Building Management System (BMS) with built in demand management capabilities.

The Ivy – Channon Refrigeration & Merivale Group

The Ivy development recognised as the largest bar/hotel construction job in Australia presented Channon Refrigeration with a unique opportunity to design and construct a refrigeration system, reducing the amount of plant units, plant locations, condenser water/ventilation requirements whilst electrically reducing the required combined Supply amperage and providing a superior energy efficient plant design to the original proposal.

The Green Building Air Handling Unit – Air Change Manufacturing

The GB AHU is an energy efficient heat recovery system that automatically selects the most economical mode to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions, whilst providing superior indoor air quality to increase employee morale and productivity.  The outstanding performance has been measured in prominent green buildings such as the CBC Sydney Olympic Park, Lend Lease building, ‘The Gauge’, Victoria, 54 Melbourne St,, Queensland and the Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre, Victoria.


Environmentally Sustainable Design – Project Leadership Award 2010

Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre – Built Ecology & WSP Lincolne Scott

The MCEC is the first convention centre to be awarded a ‘6 Star Green Star’ environmental rating by the Green Building Council of Australia.  The MCEC boasts an impressive array of green features including a black water treatment plant; solar powered hot water system; displacement ventilation; radiant slab heating; the use of FSC timber; the substitution of PVC with more environmentally friendly materials; enhanced indoor air quality as a result of carpets, paints, adhesives and sealants that are low on Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s); and the use of low emission building materials.

Noel has been involved in refrigeration and air conditioning industry for nearly 40 years and says he has never stopped learning. Over the last 25 years he has made a significant impact on the vocational education and training of refrigeration, air conditioning and appliance servicing industry in Australia. Noel works closely with our industry bodies, relevant Government agencies, regulators and training providers to develop and implement numerous education and training programs and resources
